A user is anyone who logs in to the full MDS Insight platform — office staff, dispatchers, managers, accounting personnel, and field-service technicians. Your route-sales drivers using the included RouteSel app do not count as billable users. Each user has their own unique login (credential sharing isn't permitted) — individual logins are essential for dispatching, activity tracking, accountability, and reporting.
Your route-sales drivers on the RouteSel app are included in the base price — add as many as your routes need at no extra per-seat charge. Field-service technicians who work tickets in the platform are counted as users. Everyone still gets their own individual login (no credential sharing), which is what keeps dispatching, proof of delivery, time tracking, and performance reporting accurate.
Absolutely. The $500 base covers your first 5 users; add more instantly as your team grows and you'll be billed for them starting that month. Remove users and your bill adjusts the following month. Additional users are $22.50 each (users 6–73) and $15 each (users 74–200), with custom volume pricing above 200.
That's right — no long-term contract required. You're billed month-to-month and can cancel anytime. If MDS Insight isn't working for you, you're free to leave with no penalties or cancellation fees.
Everything. All modules, RouteSel route sales, the online ordering cart, mobile access, support, updates, backups, and security — for up to 5 users. There are no setup fees, no transaction fees, and no surprise charges. The only additional costs are users beyond 5 and any custom development work you request.
We bill monthly via credit card or ACH — the $500 platform base plus any users beyond the first 5. Billing is automatic, and you'll receive an invoice each month.

We update the platform continuously — sometimes daily, sometimes weekly — based on customer requests, our internal roadmap, and responses to changing technologies. There's no fixed schedule because we prioritize releasing improvements when they're ready rather than waiting for arbitrary release dates. You're always on the latest version automatically, with no disruption to your work.
No app download required! MDS Insight's mobile interface works through any standard web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.). This means it works on iOS, Android, tablets, and any device with a browser — with no installation, no app store approvals, and no version updates to manage. Just log in from your mobile browser and you're ready to go.
Custom development is billed at $185/hour. We'll provide an estimate before starting any work, and you'll approve the scope and budget upfront. We work in phases so you can see progress and maintain control over costs.
There's no separate setup fee. We include basic onboarding and training as part of your subscription. If you need extensive data migration or custom integration work during setup, that would be quoted separately as custom development.
We don't offer free trials because we operate on a month-to-month basis with no long-term contract. This means your maximum risk is just one month's cost — and you can cancel anytime with no penalties. We're confident enough in the platform that we don't lock anyone in. If MDS Insight isn't the right fit, you're out less than what most competitors charge for a "trial period" setup fee.
